This upload contains the Python analysis script and the processed collocation dataset used to compare GPM‑MWHR (satellite) and ERA5‑reanalysis significant wave heights in tropical cyclones. ## Data- `All_cyclone_points.csv`: Processed dataset collocating GPM overpasses with IBTrACS best‑track data and ERA5 fields within 300 km of cyclone centres. Variables include: distance to centre, GPM_hmax, ERA5_hmax, ERA5_SWH, IBTrACS wind speed, cyclone name, centre coordinates, Ku‑band footprint coordinates, and (optionally) precipitation rate. ## Code- `gpm_era5_cyclone_analysis.py`: Python script that reproduces all figures (Figures 1–5, S1–S6) and statistical tables (Table 1, Table S1) from the associated study. It also generates a summary text file (`All_information.txt`) with key statistics and interpretations. ## Dependencies- Python ≥ 3.8- Required packages: pandas, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, cartopy ## How to run1. Place the script and the CSV file in the same directory.2. (Optional) Adjust the `CSV_PATH` and `OUTPUT_DIR` variables inside the script.3. Execute: ```bash python gpm_era5_cyclone_analysis.py
