More Metadata This data set identifies properties that participate in and are part of Agricultural and Forestal overlay districts according to State enabling legislation per the Virginia State Code, Chapter 43, Section 15.2, Agricultural and Forestal Districts Act. The Department of Economic Development administers the County’s Agricultural District program. Purpose: This layer identifies properties within each of the Agricultural Districts, which are used by participants to preserve farmland and open space through parcel subdivision restrictions. Each Agricultural District has unique terms and subdivision restrictions.
