Investigate whether miR-155 deletion activates microglia through interferon-dependent mechanism. WT and miR-155 cKO mice were treated with IFNgamma blocker or IgG control i.p. and intracerebral injection. Apoptotic neurons were stereotaxically injected into the cortex and hippocampus. After 16 hours, phagocytic/non-phagocytic microglia were sorted for RNAseq.
