ERA5-Land temperature, precipitation, and bare-soil evaporation data for Atta sampling sites in Santander, Colombia (2024–2026)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains ERA5-Land reanalysis data used to characterize regional climatic conditions across the study area in Santander, Colombia, in a study investigating realized niche breadth in the leaf-cutting ants Atta cephalotes and Atta laevigata. The dataset comprises nine GRIB files covering three climatic variables: 2 m air temperature (t2m), total precipitation (tp), and evaporation from bare soil (evabs). Temperature data correspond to February 2024, February 2025, and February 2026. Precipitation and bare-soil evaporation data cover the complete calendar years 2024 and 2025, whereas the 2026 datasets cover January–July only because the year was still in progress at the time of analysis. The data were obtained from the ERA5-Land reanalysis dataset provided by the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) through the Climate Data Store. The files cover the geographic region encompassing the field sampling sites in Santander, Colombia. These data were used to generate the regional climatic heatmaps presented in Supporting Information Figs S3–S5 and to characterize temperature, precipitation, and evaporation gradients across the study area. The original ERA5-Land variables are provided in GRIB format. Processing and visualization scripts are available in the associated GitHub repository.
