Fantôme Tarot Deck: AR Guidebook Example

Fantome is a tarot deck that helps you see the hidden meaning in your cards and learn more about what's waiting on your path. It does this through a bewitching card design and multidimensional guidebook - an example of which you see here.

The design draws inspiration from brutalist architecture - a style that was an ethos of 'social utopianism' in the previous century. This style is generally characterised by its rough surfaces, unusual shapes, straight lines, and small openings. Brutalism privileged function over form. Similarly Fantome privileges bare truth over deception.

The iconography of its 78-card is based on the classical Rider-White tarot but reinterpreted through modern geometric design. Besides a printed guidebook this deck also comes with a beautifully designed multidimensional guidebook app to help you learn more about each card's meaning. The app will also help you see other things - from popular card spreads to hidden design gems.
