资源简介:
In preparation for future flood events, the City of Ditzingen (Ludwigsburg district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany), has requested tailored flood simulations to support emergency planning and enhance existing municipal risk mitigation strategies. Building on known flood history and existing flood hazard information, the activation simulates five scenarios: incremental water level rises of +0.5 m, +1.0 m, and +2.0 m above baseline, as well as 50-year and 100-year return-period events. These scenarios provide insight into both moderate and extreme conditions, enabling local authorities to refine preparedness and response strategies. The activation encompasses two main products:
Product 1- the hydraulic modelling analysis for three water level scenarios, and
Product 2 - the hydraulic modelling analysis for two extreme return-period events.
Flood hazard assessment products are delivered for the specified AOI, for different incremental water level scenarios and for both moderate and extreme conditions scenarios. The information generated through this service implementation contributes to the understanding of the flood extent and helps the authorities grasp existing flood risks and can help guiding future mitigation planning. In particular, flood maps and related data can support the City of Ditzingen, Office for Security, Social Affairs and Seniors – Regulatory Administration / Civil Protection to improve preparedness, streamline response efforts, and communicate risks more effectively.
