KAZAVA Project

<div>An interdisciplinary project studying how livelihoods, land use, and the environment are changing in the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Area of Southern Africa. Each narrative represents a different component of a NSF-funded project (#1560700).<br /></div><div><div><br /></div><div>Our main objective is to facilitate a broader understanding of how livelihoods, land use and its history, and the environment are changing in this region. To accomplish this, we collaborated with partner organizations and team members from the U.S., Botswana, Zambia, and Namibia. The KAZAVA Project Story Map Collection provides a set of narratives that highlight detailed overviews of different components of this interdisciplinary project. <span style='color: rgb(102, 102, 102); font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;'>In doing so, these narratives highlight human-environment interactions that impact community and household vulnerability in a region characterized by increasing environmental uncertainty.
