Biological data of monitor and environmental organisms in a mangrove in southern Brazil

This database contains original data (primary sources) produced from systematic collections of biomonitor organisms in a mangrove swamp located in southern Brazil, in the state of Santa Catarina. A plant species (Laguncularia racemosa - Combretaceae) and a filter-feeding animal species (Crassostrea rizophorae) were used as monitor organisms. Environmental data regarding sediment variables were also added. The data integrate functional attributes and heavy metal assessment by ICP_OES.
