资源简介:
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between emotional states (depression, stress and anxiety levels), perceptions of social support, life satisfaction and psychological resilience levels of martyr relatives. The sample of the study consisted of 131 adult relatives of martyrs (79 women, 51 men) between the ages of 18-83 (mean 43.5), whose first-degree relatives were martyred. The Psychological Resilience Scale for Adults, Satisfaction with Life Scale, Depression Anxiety Stress-21 Scale, The Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale-Revised and Sociodemographic Information Form were used to obtain information about the variables focused on in the study. The findings of the study showed that there was a significant inverse relationship between psychological resilience levels of martyrs’ relatives and stress, anxiety and depression levels, and a significant relationship with life satisfaction and social support in the same direction. In addition, social support perception was found to have a partial mediating role in the relationships between psychological resilience and depression, stress and life satisfaction. However, no mediating role was found between psychological resilience and anxiety. This study is unique in that it focuses on examining the psychological processes related to being a martyr’s relative and examines the mediating role of perceived social support in the relationships between psychological resilience and life satisfaction and emotional states.
