Evaluación de los riesgos de los cem de Radiofrecuencias

There is still some concern among some sectors of the population about hypothetical adverse health effects from exposure to Extremely Low Frequency Electromagnetic Fields (ELF-EMF) and Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Fields (RF-EMF). In the framework of the EMF risk assessment and prevention activities foreseen in the Strategic Plan for Health and Environment (PESMA) and the European research project NextGEM, a narrative review of the scientific evidence on the health effects of EMF and the international guidelines on exposure limits has been carried out. The most relevant conclusions of the systematic reviews (SR) published in the last 5 years have been included, with objective and verifiable methodological quality criteria: PROSPERO, PRISMA; etc., on the evaluation of the health effects of RF-EMFs and the evolution of the incidence rates of brain tumours. The conclusions of the SR reviewed indicate that no adverse health effects are observed. No correlation has been observed between mobile phone use and the incidence of brain or central nervous system tumours.
