We selected 45 HIV-1patients receiving first-line ART based on the 3TC regimen in a follow-up cohort, and then collected whole blood samples every six months during treatment. The plasma HIV RNA and total cellular HIV DNA were then extracted, and amplicons of the partial HIV pol region were subsequently sequenced by ultra-deep sequencing.
