This dataset comprised of baseline data collected on socioeconomic characteristics/ variables and biophysical variables before the project implementation and Endline data collected from the same respondents that supplied the baseline data on the same variables as baseline. information on households heads age, gender, employment status, highest level of education, average monthly income, average monthly household expenditure and major occupation of household heads made-up the socioeconomic variables. Other variables of interest are asset ownership, climate change awareness, water related/ecology related diseases treated by household members in one year, clean water availability and use, clean energy availability and use, incidence of flooding/gully erosion before and after the intervention, availability of infrastructural facilities, social participation, gender inclusiveness and youth involvement in community decision making. knowlege of factors responsible for gully/flood erosion, soil conservation practices adopted in and off-farm, liquid and solid waste management practices adopted before and after the intervention. The research hypothesis were four: first " NEWMAP has no significant impact on income and expenditure of households in Southeast, Nigeria. second ' NEWMAP has no significant impact on the availability and usage of clean water and energy in the study are and third: " NEWMAP has no significant impact on social participation and youth inclusiveness in the study area and fourth: "NEWMAP has no significant impact on waste disposal methods adopted by household in Southeast Nigeria. The result showed a wide spread improvement in adoption of sustainable waste management practices by the treatment communities when compared to the control households. again gully dumping reduced drastically post NEWMAP intervention in the study area when compared to control areas. social NEWMAP intervention led to an increased social participation, youth inclusiveness in community decision-taking and gender equality among treated communities. On the economic perspectives, NEWMAP intervention led to an increased household average monthly income and expenditure in the treated arears comparing to control communities, signifying improvement in well-being as a result of the project intervention among the treated community in Southeast Nigeria.
