资源简介:
This dataset contains site information and flood-frequency analysis results using station skew for 253 streamgaging stations operated by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) across Colorado within the Rio Grande Basin and Missouri, Arkansas-White-Red, and Upper Colorado River Basins (2- digit hydrologic unit codes 13, 10, 11, and 14, respectively). Some streamgages included in this study are within neighboring states of Colorado, including Arizona, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah. Site information and annual peak-flow data from water years 1888 to 2022 were obtained from the USGS National Water Information System database. When available, paleoflood data for specific sites were utilized. Flood frequency analysis was completed in version 8.1.0 of USGS PeakFQ software following the guidelines set forth in Bulletin 17C. Site information is provided in comma delimited (.csv) file "CO_FFQ_SiteInfo.csv". Peak-flow "CO_FFQ_nwis_peak.txt", specification "CO_FFQ.psf", and output files from PeakFQ ("CO_FFQ_emp.csv", "CO_FFQ_lp3.csv", "CO_FFQ_mgb.csv", "CO_FFQ_qnt.csv", and "CO_FFQ_trd.csv") are provided. Estimates of the 0.5, 0.2, 0.1, 0.04, 0.02, 0.01, 0.005, and 0.002 annual streamflow exceedance probabilities (the 2-, 5-, 10-, 25-, 50-, 100-, 200-, and 500-year recurrence intervals, respectively) are in file "CO_FFQ_qnt.csv".
