Sequence of Ochetobius elongatus

Ochetobius elongates is medium-sized migrating fish of subfamily Leuciscinae of Cyprinidae in the Yangtze River Basin and its southern regions of China. In recent decades, it has become a critically endangered species due to overfishing, barrier between rivers and lakes and habitat degradation. So far, there is no genome resources, which greatly restricts the research on its heredity, evolution and biology. In this study, we sequenced a high-quality chromosome-level reference genome of Ochetobius elongates by integrating Pacbio long-reads, MGI short-reads and Hi-C data.
