Submerged Helical Savonius Rotor for Wind-Wave Energy in Hydropower Reservoirs: CFD Verification Data and Sizing Scripts

Supporting dataset for the paper "Wind-Wave Energy in Hydropower Reservoirs: From a Verified Helical Savonius Rotor to Preliminary Converter Sizing" (M. Akdi, submitted to ASME J. Energy Resour. Technol. Part A). Contains the parametric geometry generator and the STL of a two-bucket shaftless helical Savonius rotor (45° twist, 1.100 m swept diameter, overlap ratio 0.1229, 12 mm wall), the background block meshes and refinement parameters of three grids, the solver configuration, the complete force and moment histories of the verification point (λ = 0.7833) on the three grids in both the steady multiple-reference-frame and the time-resolved sliding-mesh formulations, a face-by-face wall export of the retained grid (327 799 faces: area, wall shear stress, y+), the tabulated results, and scripts that reproduce every figure, the coefficients of the verification point and every derived value; the sweep and aspect-ratio results are tabulated. Water, Re = 1.65 × 10⁶, k-ω SST. Numerical verification under ASME V&V 20, not validation.
