"These codes are utilized for a comparison between Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices and Renewable Distributed Generators (RDGs) for optimal power loss reduction in transmission systems. RDGs placement in the electrical grid might significantly minimize the power loss. Voltage regulation, power flow control, transient stability, and power oscillation damping problems could all be solved by FACTS. They can be used to sustain the desired voltage profile and improve power loss in power systems by compensating for active and reactive power. The optimal size and location of FACTS devices and RDGs in the electrical grid are determined by applying Genetic Algorithm (GA). The purpose of this paper is to reduce power loss in power systems, which is achieved by placing important FACTS devices, such as static var compensator (SVC), static synchronous compensator (STATCOM), and thyristor-controlled series capacitor (TCSC), and RDGs, such as wind turbine (WT) and photovoltaic panels (PV), in three IEEE standard systems (IEEE-14, IEEE-30, IEEE-57) to obtain the best grid performance."
