PAI-1 and t-PA in the culture medium after stimulation.

TNF-α triggers an anti-fibrinolytic response in endothelial cells (ECs) and smooth muscle cells (SMCs). TNF-α was added to the culture medium of the indicated cells at a 10 ng/ml final concentration. After 24 hours, the culture supernatant was harvested and the total (active, latent and complexed) PAI-1 and t-PA protein concentrations were quantified by an ELISA test.
