Experimental and analytical dataset for "Rate-sensitive deformation in Antigorite can trigger earthquakes even without dehydration"

Nanoindentation tests at multiple strain rates across three orthogonal crystallographic directions of natural antigorite show that the mechanical anisotropy and rate-sensitive deformation in antigorite can trigger intermediate-depth earthquakes in cold, hydrated subduction zones even without the requirement for dehydration.
