Comparative transcriptome analysis of Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida infected Lateolabrax maculatus

A comparative transcriptome analysis was performed on the spleens of L. maculatus infected with Pdp at 6, 12, and 24 hours post infection (hpi).This study revealed a set of antibacterial immune genes/pathways that are subverted by Pdp for immune evasion. It provides new insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying immunity during Pdp infection and lays a foundation for future investigations into the molecular basis of antibacterial immune defense in L. maculatus.
