TUD-L2B-5dayEWH-GRACE.v1.0exp: Novel and Global 0.5°x0.5° 5-day GRACE equivalent water height gridded product (experimental version)

This <strong>GRACE Level-2B data product </strong>provides gridded Equivalent Water Height (EWH), which are equivalent to Terrestrial Water Storage Anomalies (TWSA) generated at TU Delft (“TUD”) and available at <strong>5-day to sub-weekly time resolution</strong>.<br>This dataset is derived <strong>exclusively</strong> from GRACE data:Residual Level-1B (L1B) data (post-fits and geo-fits), provided by Centre for Space Research (UTCSR, TX, USA)<strong>*</strong>. DOI: 10.18738/T8/VY3U8LITSG-Grace2018 daily Kalman filtered Level-2 data (350 km - Gaussian filter, d.o. 2-40).GGM05C static (long-term mean) field removed.<br>Important notes for users:This is an experimental release.Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) has not been removed from the dataset.Low degree coefficients: geocenter, C_20, and C_30 have not been replaced.The dataset spans the period <strong>April 2002 to August 2016</strong>.These gridded EWHs are anomalies with respect to the <strong>reference epoch: January 2008</strong>. <br>To support usage and interpretation, the repository includes:Python plotting utilities (<em>/plotting_tools</em>) for visualizing the resultsValidation resources (<em>/quality_checks</em>) summarising multiple quality control checks applied to the data.A complementary monthly file (bin_count.nc) containing monthly LGD (i.e. Line-of-Sight Gravity Differences) observation bin counts for each spatial grid cell (2 deg x 2 deg).<br>This dataset is intended for users seeking higher-frequency gravity field variations based <em>solely</em> on GRACE residuals, and may be particularly valuable for hydrological and geophysical analyses.
