High-throughput droplet-based single-cell small RNA sequencing technology

Single-cell RNA sequencing is a technique enabling the quantitative analysis of polyadenylated RNA molecules in a biological sample. Nevertheless, its application is primarily confined to protein-coding RNAs, lacking the ability to reveal the sequences of other RNA types, such as small non-coding RNAs. This project seeks to overcome this limitation, providing insights into the expression of small RNAs in individual cells. Hereby employing a high-throughput droplet-based technology, we describe a method, which enables the simultaneous capture and sequencing of both small and long RNAs.
