Diversity of oral microbiome of women from urban and rural areas of Indonesia

The variations in microbial compositions in different cultural backgrounds have previously been investigated in a number of countries. However, to our knowledge, there are no studies performed to examine the effect of geographical, socio-economic factors on the oral health and oral microbiome in Indonesia. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the oral health and oral microbiomes isolated from the tongue samples of healthy urban- and rural-dwelling Indonesian women.
