The transcriptome data revealed an strong association between the Acinetobacter baumannii Response regulator A1S_1978 with the key genes related to various nitrogen and amino acid metabolism processes.The Knockout of A1S_1978 leads to a reduction in persister cell formation against ciprofloxacin antibiotic, which was otherwise high in number under this antibiotic stress. This investigation results provide significant evidence that the RR A1S_1978 is a global regulator in A. baumannii.
