Development of a novel multiplex clone genotyping approach for rapid and accurate estimation of multiplicity of infection (MOI) of Plasmodium falciparum

Study goals: 1)develop a multiplex PCR followed by pooling deep sequencing genotyping method based on the published panel of 24 SNPs, 2) develop a haplotype analysis tool for the 24 SNP multiplex PCR with pooling deep sequencing for clone identification, and 3) evaluate these tools in the rapid and accurate estimation of MOI using field samples from Kenya.
