A postcard, "Machine Drills At Work / Los Angeles Aqueduct," published by The Benham Company, Los Angeles, California, USA, postmarked 1909 September 01 to June Kinsella, 323 1/2 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, California, USA. The photographic image shows a half-dozen men in a tunnel suported by bracing and the men with what appear to be pneumatic drills and sticks of dynamite in the hands of some, standing or sitting near the back wall. On the reverse is a message from one of the men working on the project and he writes "This is a flah light taken in one of th [sic] tunnels" and the address is from Mojave and "Camp 1." The overall condition is good.
