The series consist of correspondence files of the Royal Children's Hospital Orthopaedic Section. Content includes: Press Cuttings; Correspondence (Medical Superintendant); Parent's Association and Railway Employees Auxiliary; Orthopaedic Section Sub-committee reports; Orthopaedic Section Bulletin; Transfer to Parkville; Nepean Special School, and Right of private practice - Dr G Keys Smith.Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 1996/004.The circumstance in which these files were brought together for transfer to the RCH Archives is subject to further research. The existence/whereabouts of files pre 1939 and post 1980, and other material for the period 1939 - 1980 is also subject to further research.
