Wild salamaders were swabbed for Bd/Bsal/Rv for pathogen prevalence and microbiome (16S), we compared this to the environmental microbiome (interface of pool and soil). The goals were to assess microbial diversity of salamander skin, determine differentailly abundant taxa in salamander vs. environment, and quantify the anti-Bd potential of the microbiome.
