Experimental 3D THz imaging Dataset for Defect Detection in Glass Fabric Reinforced Thermoplastic (GFRT) composites
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains experimental measurement data acquired using a 3D terahertz (THz) imaging system for non-destructive testing (NDT) of glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic (GFRT) composites. The measurements were collected using two frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) THz imaging systems operating in the frequency ranges 238–316 GHz (300 GHz system) and 499–733 GHz (700 GHz system). The dataset includes measurements of: Non-defective GFRT composite samples Samples containing artificial delamination defects, created by inserting a 125 µm Kapton film between laminate layers Samples containing consolidation defects caused by thickness variations during the manufacturing process The uploaded files include: Raw THz measurement data stored in .rdf format generated by the THz imaging system MATLAB script for reading and parsing the measurement files MATLAB script for processing and visualizing the measurement data, including reconstruction of reflected spectra and depth profiles All measurements were performed on GFRT laminate samples with approximate dimensions of 80 mm × 25 mm and a thickness of approximately 1.5 mm. The dataset supports the results presented in the following publication: Souliman, A., Kahl, M., Stock, D., Möller, M., Engel, B., & Bolívar, P. H.Defect Detection in Bi-directional Glass Fabric Reinforced Thermoplastics Based on 3D THz Imaging.IEEE Transactions on Terahertz Science and Technology.https://doi.org/10.1109/TTHZ.2023.3247609 This dataset is intended for researchers working in the fields of terahertz imaging, non-destructive testing (NDT), and composite material inspection.
