Neutralization of truncated procalcitonin by antibody treatment protects vascular barrier integrity during systemic inflammation

Differentially expressed genes were identified in lung endothelial cells of CLP-treated mice compared to sham-treated controls and after treatment with an antibody against truncated murine procalcitonin. Sepsis was induced in mice by CLP (Cecal Ligation Puncture). Some mice were treated with an antibody against murine truncated procalcitonin. Endothelial cells from the lungs of CLP-treated, CLP plus antibody treatment, sham-treated and untreated mice were isolated and subjected to RNAseq analysis.
