Number of Blue Flag sites awarded in Italy 2021

In 2021, the number of Blue Flag sites in Italy was 497. More than 400 Italian beaches and 81 marinas complied with the criteria of the Blue Flag network in 2021. The Blue Flag network is a program introduced by the Foundation for Environmental Education that promotes the environmental protection of tourism coastal areas all around the world.
