Annual surface flow velocity on Bowdoin Glacier, Greenland in 2015-2016

The surface motion of the glacier was measured by surveying 2 stakes (2.0 m long aluminium poles) installed in the ice in the lower part of Bowdoin Glacier. Dual-frequency GPS receivers and antennas (GNSS GEM-1) were used to measure the three-dimensional positions of the stakes. One antenna was fixed to solid rock on the eastern bank of the glacier as a reference station. At 1503 and B15BH1, the antennae were mounted on the stakes and operated for 30 minutes in July 2015 and July 2016. These data were processed in static mode by the GPS software (RTKLIB) to compute the position of the stakes. Measurement errors were estimated below 10 mm.本数据集通过对鲍登冰川（Bowdoin Glacier）下段冰体中布设的2根测桩（2.0米长铝制标杆）开展测量，获取冰川表面运动数据。采用双频GPS接收机与天线（GNSS GEM-1）测定测桩的三维位置坐标，将一台天线固定于冰川东岸的基岩上作为基准站。针对编号为1503与B15BH1的测桩，于2015年7月与2016年7月在其桩体上安装天线并开展了30分钟的观测作业。采用GPS软件（RTKLIB）以静态模式对上述观测数据进行处理，解算出测桩的位置坐标。经估算，本次测量的误差小于10毫米。
