Literature reports that estrogen can induce epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in prostate epithelial cells. In the submitted samples, three cases involved BPH-1 cells that underwent EMT after being treated with 10 nM estradiol for 48 hours. This transition was confirmed through Western blot analysis. The control group in the samples consisted of cells treated with DMSO solvent.
