Students learning English in school in Italy 2019, by educational level

As of 2019, 1.8 million middle school students in Italy studied English as a foreign language. In elementary school, the number of pupils learning English added up to 2.7 million.According to data from 2019, almost all students in Italy learned English in school. French and Spanish were the second and third most tought foreign languages in Italian schools.
