Jurassic Trees at Jason Peninsula, Antarctica

A new discovery of Jurassic flora (tree trunks and stemps), located in Ramirez nunatak, Jason Peninsula, on the East side of Antarctic Peninsula is described. Together with another fossil flora locality at Brebbia Nunatak (Jason Peninsula), they showing evidence of a subaereal eruption character of the ignimbritic rocks where the fossil flora was found, and the positive character of Jason Peninsula in the Larsen Basin during the Jurassic-Early Cretaceous time.
