Data for: Voting for Development? Ruling Coalitions and Literacy in India

The data combine election data at the state assembly constituency level in India, census data estimated to the state assembly constituency level, and data on state-level governments. Since the dataset may change as we revise the paper, we are not providing a full codebook and description at this stage, but will do so upon acceptance of the paper.
