Analysis of resistome in diverse bacteria isolated at the human-environment continuum

The goal of this study was to characterize the resistome carried in commensal bacteria isolated form a variety of niches, including produce, river water (irrigation), and humans (in relationship to food-environment). The objective is to assess AMR genes in these niches, which can serve as understudied reservoirs for AMR, contributing to their transmission and spread in the food chain and environment.
