These Conservation Lists are compilations of buildings, precincts and conservation areas, under the control of the Minister for Public Works, that have been identified as being of architectural and historical significance. The purpose of the lists is to help to ensure that the items identified are conserved, properly maintained and that any additions or alterations to them are carried out with care, and with due regard to their significance. The lists are arranged alphabetically by location under three sections: Sydney - City; Sydney - Suburbs, and country areas.
