The "Jornada Experimental Range Monthly Precipitation" data set records monthly precipitation from 29 permanent locations where rain gauges were installed between 1915 and 1957. Standard Weather Bureau non-recording rain gauges, permanently mounted at selected sites, are used to obtain the data. Precipitation is measured and recorded monthly.
