Which non-invasive interventions have the highest pain reduction for the management of dentin hypersensitivity on hypomineralized teeth among children with Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH)? A systematic review and network meta-analysis
收藏资源简介:
This dataset accompanies a systematic review and network meta-analysis evaluating the comparative effectiveness of non-invasive interventions for the management of dentin hypersensitivity in children and adolescents with Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH). The dataset includes information extracted from randomized controlled trials identified through comprehensive searches of MEDLINE/PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, EMBASE, and ProQuest, with the search updated on October 29, 2026. It comprises study characteristics, participant and clinical data, intervention and comparator details, pain assessment methods, follow-up periods, and outcome data. It also includes information supporting the risk-of-bias assessment using the Cochrane Risk of Bias 2 (RoB 2) tool, as well as the assessment of evidence certainty according to the GRADE approach. Data from ten randomized controlled trials were included in the systematic review, of which eight contributed to the network meta-analysis, involving 657 participants and 16 different non-invasive interventions. The dataset supports the comparative evaluation and ranking of interventions based on changes in dentin hypersensitivity scores, including the calculation of mean differences, treatment ranking probabilities, and Surface Under the Cumulative Ranking (SUCRA) values. These data provide transparency and reproducibility for the evidence synthesis and may support future research, evidence-based clinical decision-making, and the development of further clinical trials investigating the management of MIH-associated dentin hypersensitivity in pediatric populations. The systematic review protocol was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42024581302).
