WOCE Current Meter Database at the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University

The WOCE Current Meter Data Assembly Center (CMDAC) is operated by
Oregon State University (OSU). CMDAC's mission is to assemble a
uniformly formatted and quality-controlled dataset consisting both of
current meter records gathered as part of WOCE, and historical records
relevant to WOCE analyses.

Online access to the CMDAC database allows search and download of
current meter records. Descriptive statistics (means, minima, maxima,
variances, etc.) are also available.

A typical current meter record in this database contains several time
series. Almost all of the records contain u and v (u is the eastward
component of current and v is the northward component), and most
contain temperature. Many contain pressure and/or conductivity. A
few contain attenuation coefficient. Note that for the most part,
current speed and direction are not present in the database.
