This series consists of functional files created by the Office of Environment and Heritage and its predecessor agencies the Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) and Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) to develop and deliver significant policies, initiatives and strategies on climate change, renewable energy, environmental sustainability, biodiversity and conservation in accordance with legislation and regulations. A large proportion of the files in this series relate to land management, sustainable development, renewable energy, parks and conservation.Also included in the series are files related to local environmental planning schemes, special project planning files and files containing documents relating to the acquisition of land for purposes such as the creation of open space or road widening. In addition there are files containing records of open space surveys, files relating to the development of State Environmental Planning Policies and files relating to the development of historic properties.The files are arranged in annual single number order.
