Genome sequence of bacterial isolates recovered from freshwater Amazonian ecosystems.. Multiple environmental isolates

Free-living micro-organisms play a key role as reservoirs of antibiotic resistance and also directly contribute to the spread of this resistance. Polluted aquatic systems have higher levels of contamination with multiresistant bacteria. In this context, this project aims to sequencing the genomes of multiple isolates recovered from an Amazonian mesotrophic lake that is used for water supply, irrigation and recreational activities and it is near to a densely populated region, at the north of Brazil, State of Pará.
