AMS (anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility) dataset of three analogue models simulating a development of a pop-up structure in a fold-and-thrust belt (one xls-file with three sheets). For each sample, the location within the model is given (x,y, in local coordinate system). The dataset is divided into categories ("structure"), which are associated with the location and relation to a structure within the model, i.e., samples taken from the backthrusts ("bt"), forethrusts ("ft/kink"), forekink zones ("FKZ"), intersection of thrusts ("intersection"), or from areas away from thrusts and kinkzones ( >0.8 cm) (footwall beneath main backthrust next to backstop = "backstop" area; pop-up imbricate = "interlimb" zone; footwall in the model foreland = "foreland"; Model C: single samples from different parts in front of the pop-up structures and away from thrust/kinkzone are summarized as "compacted area").
