Exp5 is a nuclear export factor in the animal miRNA biogenesis pathway. This experiment examined how reduced Exp5 levels affected miRNA expression profiles. Human 293T cells were transiently transfected with a control or Exp5 small interfering RNA (siRNA). Five days later total RNA was isolated and subjected to custom miRNA microarray analysis.
