Retirement and Retirement Plans, 1988-1989

<P>Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner.</P><br>The aim of this survey was to identify factors affecting age at retirement; to provide information on the financial provisions people make for their retirement and to give information which could be used in predicting the distribution of future pensioners' incomes.<br>
Two-thirds of the respondents from this survey were re-interviewed for a second wave of the survey in 1994 - the resulting dataset is held at the Archive under SN:4044.<br><B>Main Topics</B>:<BR><br>Current financial circumstances; occupational and private pensions; actual and expected age at retirement; pension and job histories since leaving continuous full-time education; disability.<br>
Measurement scales used<br>
