To study the effects of different agricultural practices on the soil, a field experiment was started by International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) having four cereal-based cropping scenarios varying in cropping system, tillage, crop establishment methods, and crop residue management practices. Effect of these practices on microbial diversity of soil were studied under this project.
