A multidrug-resistant bacterium was isolated from soil samples taken from a landfill site in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The bacterium was later identified as a strain of Acinetobacter junii. For further analysis, the total bacterial DNA was isolated and subjected to high-throughput sequencing on the Illumina platform. The genome was de novo assembled using SPAdes assembler.
