Pseudomonas sp. G1 strain:G1 | isolate:iChip isolate G1 Genome sequencing

Nine different bacterial isolates were recovered from two former landfill sites in the State of Brandenburg, Germany. The bacteria were isolated by applying a highly revised iChip procedure. Each of the 9 isolates was obtained in pure culture. As a consortium, the 9 bacteria are capable of degrading polyethylene film. The complete genome sequence of Pseudomonas G1 BAM 999 was determined by long-read PacBio sequencing. Using the TYGS for taxonomic classification, G1 BAM 999 was assigned to the genus Pseudomonas as a new species.
