资源简介:

This quantitative, quasi-experimental study aimed to utilize pretest-posttest measures in order to evaluate the overall effectiveness of Jewish Family Service of Greater New Orleans’ Teen Life Counts (TLC) school-based suicide prevention program. The sample size, which utilized both intervention and control groups, was 309 adolescents. It was hypothesized that the posttest scores would be higher than the pretest scores, showing that knowledge of suicide, knowledge of suicide referral resources, and a belief in self-efficacy in responding to suicidality would all be higher after the intervention than before. Findings indicate an overall definite, consequential relationship between the provision of the intervention and the difference in pretest to posttest scores.
