Elderly Brain Template — Supplementary Data Repository This repository accompanies the manuscript Developing and Validating an Elderly Brain Template:A Comprehensive Comparison with MNI152 for Age-Specific Neuroimaging Analyses and provides all supplementary data, masks and metrics required to reproduce the figures and statistics in the paper. 1. Overview Template construction– 90 OASIS-1 scans (65–84 y) Template validation– 282 IXI scans (QC-passed; 20–80 y) Age range addressed– older adults, 65 years and above Content highlights Final 1 mm isotropic T1 template Brain, tissue-class and 7 subcortical masks CSV tables with Dice and whole-brain metrics (3D-SSIM, CC, MSE) Convergence log of 20 iterative template-building updates 2. Usage Download the NIfTI template and masks from the release assets or Zenodo (DOI below). Register your subject images to tpl-Elderly_res-01_T1w.nii.gz using ANTs or your preferred tool. Compute overlap or similarity metrics by loading the CSV templates or running the supplied scripts (see /scripts). Age-group note: the Age_Group column in the CSV files (A = 20-29 … F = ≥ 70) is only for visual grouping; all statistical models in the paper treat age as continuous. 4. License All files are released under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0).Because the template derives from IXI (CC BY-SA 3.0) and OASIS-1 (OASIS DUA) MRI data, users must also respect those original licences and DUAs. 5.
